Elevator Beds

You have likely heard of both adjustable beds and Murphy beds, both of which are still readily available. But there is also a growing trend towards elevator beds.
An elevator bed is exactly what the name suggests: a bed which lifts and lowers on an elevator-like system to maximize space within a room. When not in use, the bed retracts up towards the ceiling.
The bed can simply hover below the ceiling or completely disappear into a dropped or partially dropped ceiling (shown at left). Lighting can be added to drop ceiling or to the underside of the bed itself.
Similar to a Murphy bed, elevator beds help ensure your space functions at an optimal level during the many hours of each day when you are not sleeping.

  1. Futons, which are thick cotton bed moves with wood or metal bases, are by and large somewhat harder than a sprung or froth couch bed, so when purchasing either a couch bed or a futon, ensure that you lie on it to test it - similarly as you would with an ordinary bed. headboards for sale
